ASTI awards $45,000 in latest round of grants

ASTI Arborist Safety Training Institute

The Arborist Safety Training Institute (ASTI) recently awarded nearly $45,000 in grants to 25 tree care organizations that will use these funds to host safety training workshops throughout the country next year.

“Safety training and education helps build a safe and productive environment for employees and results in cost savings for the company,” says Amy Tetreault, TCIA director of development and special programs. “ASTI seeks to increase education in our industry by providing quality, affordable safety training by professional trainers to ensure every arborist who wants safety training has the opportunity to participate.”

ASTI, launched by the Tree Care Industry Association Foundation (TCIAF) in 2013, works to bring quality, local and affordable safety training to working arborists across the country through its grant program.

The following workshops will be hosted around the country between August 1, 2019, and January 31, 2020. Workshop details will be available soon on TCIA’s Training Calendar.

These supporters are making an investment in the future of safety in the tree care industry.
