What airport do I fly into? And how far away is the hotel from the airport?

Fly into the San Juan Airport (SJU). The Wyndham is about a 35-minute drive from the airport.  Taxis are readily available.  

Do I need a passport?

US Citizens are not required to present a valid U.S. Passport for travel to and from Puerto Rico (unless you plan on stopping in a foreign port in your travels). However, it is recommended that travelers bring a government-issued photo ID and a copy of your birth certificate.  In most cases it’s easier to bring your passport.

Is the hotel child friendly?


  • There is an outdoor playground and both a kid friendly pool with waterslides and an adult section. The hotel offers an unsupervised Kids Club. Hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • It is located by the pool area and has pool table, ping pong table and board games. Plus, they have a shop were you can purchase popcorn, snow cones, potato chips and soft drinks.
  • If you wish to have a babysitter, inquire with the hotels conceirge.
  • In addition the hotel offers a Teen Club. The Teen Club is located next to the Casino and is open from Thursday thru Sunday (3:00pm to 9:00pm). Here they have Video and Board Games, plus Movies on Friday and Saturday. You can also purchase popcorn and soft drinks.

Does the hotel have a fitness center?

Yes and it is complimentary.

Does the hotel have a Spa?

Yes, there is a full service casino right on property!

Can I play tennis at the hotel?

Yes, guests can enjoy playing tennis on one of 11 courts at the adjacent Rio Mar Country Club. Click here for more information.

Can I golf at the hotel?

Is the US dollar accepted here?

Yes, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth country under the United States of America, and thus uses the United States Dollar (USD) as their official currency.

I’ve never been to WMC before. What should I pack?

Some of the events at WMC call for resort casual wear. Daytime resort attire for men can consist of polo shirts and shorts while evening resort attire would require nice slacks as well as polo or button down shirts.  Women can wear skirts, dresses, or sundresses. We recommend bringing a light wrap or sweater for the evenings as the temperature can dip slightly.

The tour I want to sign up for is sold out. What should I do?

I signed up for a tour, but now I don’t want to go anymore. Can I cancel it?

Tour Cancellations received on or before January 6, 2017 will receive a full refund. After January 6, 2017, fees cannot be refunded, but you are welcome to send a replacement. If we are able to resell your spot on the tour, a refund will be given. Please note that we may not know if this is possible until after WMC.

My family only wants to attend the Farewell Party. Can I just purchase passes for that?

No, individual passes are not sold for the Farewell Party or the Welcome Reception.

What is the cancellation policy for WMC?

Cancellations must be made in writing to TCIA either by fax to 1-603-314-5386 or by email to dmorgan@tcia.org. No telephone cancellations will be accepted.

Cancellations received on or before January 20, 2017, will receive a full refund less a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations after January 21, 2017, are subject to a $150 fee per person.
