Springfield Business Owner Joins Board of National Trade Association

LONDONDERRY, NH - The Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), the national trade association for commercial and utility tree care companies, has appointed Noel Boyer, CTSP to the TCIA Board of Directors. Boyer is the owner of All About Trees LLC, a TCIA-member company located in Springfield, Missouri.

Boyer is an advocate of giving back to the community and to the industry. He and his company have participated in multiple local volunteer days doing tree work for the Springfield National Cemetery, public schools and churches, and provided dozens of presentations at workshops for tree climbers.
“Noel is a great communicator,” said Mark Garvin, president and CEO of TCIA. “He asks lots of questions, and openly shares his opinion. He is an asset to this board – his business is strong and thriving, but he has the innate ability to connect with smaller companies, having been where they are. I anticipate he will be able to help smaller TCIA members invest in their own success.”

When asked why he wanted to become a TCIA board member, Boyer said, “I love being a mentor to other entrepreneurs who are going through many of the problems that I had as a small, but growing, start-up. I have had many small tree care company owners come and visit my business, some for a day, and others for a week! I have ideas for ways to help new businesses work on becoming legitimate.”

A graduate of Missouri State University, Boyer has been involved in the tree care industry for 22 years, the last 13 as owner of his own company. In addition to his involvement with TCIA, Boyer has served on the Midwestern Chapter of ISA’s Board of Directors, and is currently the finance officer for the chapter.

He has also served on Springfield, Mo., Tree City USA advisory committee, the Missouri Community Forestry Council and the Ozarks Technical Community College Advisory Board.

TCIA's board is elected by the members to set policy and the strategic direction of the association, which provides safety and educational programs, meetings, publications and guidelines for tree care companies.

Boyer’s term on the TCIA Board of Directors began early February 2018, when he was sworn in at TCIA’s annual Winter Management Conference. Boyer hopes to mentor other entrepreneurs who are getting started in the tree care industry.
