The Arborist Safety Training Institute (ASTI) is a program launched by the Tree Care Industry Association Foundation (TCIAF) in 2013 in an effort to bring affordable safety training and educational opportunities to tree care companies across the country. Many companies do not have the available resources to hire their own safety coordinator, so the ASTI workshops help fill that void by making training accessible for all companies.
Workshop topics can include, but are not limited to, Tree Care Academy Programs like Aerial Rescue, Tree Climber Specialist, Chain Saw, Chipper Operator and more. Workshop topics can also include any programs that you believe can provide key safety training to tree care workers in your area, such as Hazard Tree Identification or Rigging in Arboriculture.
ASTI grants fund up to $2,000 for full or half-day workshops, and the next application deadline is August 15, 2018 for workshops held February 1, 2019 – July 31, 2019.
