TCIA's newest Outreach Coordinator (Texas/Louisiana) Margaret Hall-Spencer was recently interviewed by The Fayette County Record in La Grange, Texas.
As the author of "My City Tree Cares for Me," Margaret talks with the newspaper about her passion for educating children about trees. She also discusses the book, which tells the story of Callie, a young girl whose parents move from the country to a new home in the city. At first hesitant about her new home, Callie soon warms up to the city after the tree in her front yard, a bur oak named Baxter, teaches Callie about the good things he does for her home. Check out the book on Facebook here.
