Expert Trainer

“I wish I could get my crew to....(fill in the blank).”

How many times have you muttered this to yourself after continually reminding employees to wear cut-resistant chain saw pants or appropriately grip the saw while cutting? What the heck is wrong with them?!

  • Have you considered that it’s not just your employees … it’s also you?
  • Have you considered adjusting or enhancing your training style, to better convey your message?
  • Have you ever been evaluated as a trainer ….by a master trainer?

If you find yourself repeating the same message over and over to crew members who stare back at you with that glazed look in their eyes, then you are perfectly positioned for your own training assessment and upgrade. Help improve their skills, by improving your own skills.

Who should become an Expert Trainer?

This program is a professional development opportunity for select CTSP’s: these are current leaders, managers and trainers who are proficient in their area of expertise. Participants must be pre-qualified as CTSP’s in good standing as well as competent and experienced chain saw operators.

Here is how you participate in the program:

  • Maintain Status as a CTSP
TCIA’s Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) program is the only safety credentialing program in the industry and is designed to address several of the safety challenges that tree care companies face. Learn more or enroll today. To maintain CTSP, candidates must obtain 30 CEUs during their three year recertification period and submit a renewal fee every three years. Learn more about your CTSP status here.
  • Complete the Tree Care Academy Exam

Each participant will be asked to complete the Tree Care Academy Chain Saw Specialist program, preferably before the workshop. . . Upon registering, participants will receive this manual. Those who have already passed this course will be credited for their prior qualification.

  • Attend an Expert Trainer workshop
This four-plus-day program is an intense period of training that focuses on leadership and training techniques and skills. Trainers will learn how to implement a powerful program in specific skill areas, how to control the energy and mood in the group, and how to use accelerated learning techniques for adult learners so your participants learn faster and remember more.
