Public Policy & Advocacy

TCIA's mission as a trade association is to advance tree care businesses. One of the primary ways to protect and advance the industry is by influencing public policy in a direction favorable for our members. We do this with contributions to political campaigns through the Voice for Trees Political Action Committee (VFT-PAC), by weighing in on select legislative/regulatory issues, and by directly involving members in grassroots efforts. No one knows tree care better than you – so make your voice heard! Here are just a few ways:

VFT-PAC Auction
The VFT-PAC Auction raises funds to advance your interests in Washington through lively bidding on exclusive jewelry, unparalleled vacation packages, equipment rentals, and more. This annual event takes place each year at Winter Management Conference

“No one knows the tree care industry better than us,” says Jeb Darhower of Bayshore Ford Truck Sales, Inc. “And we need to educate Washington on our industry. I’m happy to do my part for the VFT-PAC by donating an item that we can auction at the annual WMC event. Plus, it’s exciting to fun to watch everyone try and outbid each other for your item!”

Legislative Conference and Day on the Hill
This bi-annual event provides an opportunity for TCIA members to visit with their congressional representatives on Capitol Hill to discuss issues that affect the industry. Attendees will receive an issues briefing before their Hill visits, and first-time participants receive special attention and assistance from veterans of the event.
