Success! The 2015 Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament

golfTCIAF's Robert Felix Memorial Golf Tournament at Winter Management Conference 2015 (WMC ) raised over $40,000 to benefit students of arboriculture earlier this month. These funds will help students across the country attend Student Career Days (SCD), the largest annual professional development event for students in the tree care industry.

"This year's tournament was held on the beautiful Cabo del Sol Golf Desert Course, with stunning views and terrains that challenged golfers for 18 holes," said Sarah Winslow, TCIA's director of development. "It was a very competitive game, too - the winners were determined by one or two strokes."

Held every year during WMC, the tournament honors the vision of industry leaders Bob and Pat Felix for the next generation of arborists.

The first place winners included Mark Shipp, Brian Tunge, Pepper de Turo, and Trevor March. The second place winners included Mark Garvin, Scott Asplundh, Tony Gann, and David Fleischner. Alan Jones and Ron Keith claimed the "closest to the hole" and "longest drive" prizes, respectively.

The funds were raised from the 62 golfers who participated in the tournament, and from the sponsors, listed below:
