TCIA supports OSHA Safe + Sound Campaign
TCIA’s mission is to advance tree care businesses, and one of the many ways we support advancement is to develop safety programs to help member companies train employees in safe work practices. TCIA’s safety and educational programs seek to provide tree care companies with the tools and information needed to improve safety and professionalism on the jobsite while complying with OSHA and ANSI requirements. Bottom line: we want your team to head home safely at the end of each workday.
This year, TCIA has partnered with the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in support of the Safe + Sound Campaign. The Campaign is an initiative that aims to encourage every workplace in the United States to have a safety and health program that includes management leadership, worker participation and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards.
Throughout the year, TCIA members will have access to free live webinars, educational content and local events that can help support the adoption of safety and health programs. We’ll be sharing information on these opportunities as they become available – be sure to check for updates here, as well as from our social media channels.
Additionally, we encourage you to show your commitment to safety by hosting events and activities that can help energize or initiate a safety and health program during the second annual Safe + Sound Week on August 13-19, 2018.
We know that safety isn’t important just one week in the year – it’s important every day. By implementing safety and health programs, your business is taking steps toward preventing workplace injuries, reducing time lost due to incidents and decreasing costs associated with damage to the tools and machines you use day-to-day.
